She will be sharing how to design & create beautiful pieces in quick and helpful videos in her “Behind the Seam” series. Today, we are learning how to make a statement monochrome pattern flare skirt that will definitely have you be the centre of attention.



The skirt has been created with a striped monochrome fabric, and cut out floral prints from a separate ankara fabric. It also features pockets at the sides and a thin waist band.

What you need:
– The relevant fabrics
– A sewing machine
– Needles & thread
– A pair of scissors
– A mannequin
– A piece of coloured chalk
– Measuring tape

 An elderly man's sweet serenade to his dying wife while in hospice care is warming the hearts of viewers across the globe.

Erin Solari recorded her grandfather Howard Serena, 92, singing "You'll Never Know" by Rosemary Clooney and Harry James to his wife Laura, 93, on Sept. 12. Laura currently suffers from dementia.

    "We knew that this was probably the last time, so we wanted to capture that moment," Solari told ABC News today. "It was really loving.

    "For me, right after the video, I was so overcome," Solari added. "I broke down and started crying. I was so happy that I'd captured this moment for my family. It touched me, so it doesn't surprise me that it touched other people as well."

The elderly couple have nine children and 18 grandchildren. They've been married for 73 years.
Solari's heart-warming video was a hit on social media.

    "It [the video] was posted minutes after it happened on Facebook and it had over 3 million views," she said. "I know it seems private, but my family is very proud and happy to share this love with the world. As for the feedback, all the love and support we've gotten, being around my grandmother, I believe it maybe it had a little bit of an impact of her feeling better. She's been able to go home and we are very appreciative of that as well."

After being told the video had gone viral, Laura remarked:

    "I told you Howard that I'd make you famous."

A female scientist has created yogurt using the flora from her own vagina and then ate it as a part of a stomach-churning experiment.

 


Cecilia Westbrook, a PHD student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, the USA, decided to make her own natural yogurt after seeing a cookbook with sperm-based recipes.

After being unable to find any dish where women’s secretions were used as the main ingredient.

That’s why she grabbed a spoon, a pan, and a candy thermometer to create something new.

She mixed plain milk and her own bodily contribution, heat it and left it overnight.

Next morning she was ready to eat her unusual breakfast.

Describing her first impressions she said that it tasted sour, tangy, and tingly on the tongue and resembled an Indian yogurt.

Cecilia was pretty satisfied with the results and did not suffer any side effects.

The experiment ended successfully due to lactobacillus, a common bacteria found in a healthy vagina, and sometimes used to culture milk, cheese, and yogurt.

YBNL artiste Adekunle Gold is out with the video for his catchy single ‘Orente’.

The video was shot in the ancient city of Osogbo in Osun State and it captures the essence of the city. It was shot across different locations of the city with scenes bearing images from notable landmarks of the state such as the Erin Jesha waterfalls, the Nigerian Railway Corporation Osogbo, Osogbo City Stadium, Osogbo market, and the famous Nike Art Gallery and Museum.

The video was directed by Mex with a retro Yoruba theme.

From Drake and Skepta being featured on Wizkid‘s “Ojuelegba” remix, to Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz dancing to the track and now being spotted with Kendrick Lamar. It comes to mind how far the Starboy has come from his debut single “Holla At Your Boy“.

We first heard him on M.I‘s “Fast Money, Fast Cars” and when he dropped “Holla At Your Boy” in 2010, everyone knew he was here to stay!

Off his debut album “Superstar”, the song was produced by DJ Klem (Knighthouse) and Vebee. The visuals for the single, directed by Patrick Ellis, was shot at Dowen College in Lekki, Lagos.

A huge song of the year, the video featured cameo appearances from Ice Prince, Skales, D’Prince, Banky W and several others.

Fun facts: Wizkid won the 2011 The Headies Next Rated award for “Holla at Your Boy”. The video was also nominated for “Most Gifted Newcomer Video” at the 2011 Channel O Music Video Awards and for “Best Afro Pop Video” at the 2011 Nigeria Music Video Awards (NMVA).

It has been an upward journey for Wizkid since then and the Nigerian music scene is still very much in love with the one and only Starboy!

Royal Arts Academy in conjunction with Nollywood Workshop presents the release of a new movie, titled ‘Code of Silence’ which is a gritty tale of a young girl, Adanma who was gang-raped by two men one night while coming home from school. This singular act is the catalyst that triggers a number of catastrophic events in the film; One of the rapists is a prominent politician in the state and the other his aide.   As a result, Adanma’s family being of humble origins, are afraid to report the matter to the relevant authorities citing the excuse that rape is considered a taboo in society and it will make her undesirable for marriage.
The movie stars; Ini Edo, Patience Ozorkwor, Desmond Elliot, Omoni Oboli, Amaechi Muonagor, Shawn Faqua, Makida Moka and more.

‘Code of Silence’ was produced and directed by Emem Isong. Assistant Director was Chris Eneaji. Story and original screenplay was by Bola Aduwo, who was also Associate Producer on the project.  Additional screenplay was by Kehinde Joseph.

The movie is a gripping emotional story inspired by true events that need to be told.
