President Buhari today paid a visit to the victims of the Abuja twin bomb blasts which happened on Friday night October 2nd.

He visited the Trauma Centre of the National Hospital where he interacted with some of the victims.


He wished them speedy recovery and reassured them that the Federal Government will take full responsibility for settling their medical bills.

He directed his Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari to settle the N268,790.00 medical bill of a young girl in the Paediatric Ward of the hospital.

The girl’s mother, Deborah Stephen, had broken into tears on seeing President Buhari. She told him that her daughter had been shot by armed robbers who raided their home and that the family could not afford the medical bills. President Buhari was accompanied by his personal aides and Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State.

A Nigerian man was apprehended and charged with s*xual assault after pulling down his pants, bringing out his joystick, self servicing and releasing sperm on a woman, police in the United Kingdom said. The 32-year-old man identified as Peter Fabiyi has been sentenced to serve 4 years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of s*xual assault.

According to the Adelove, Fabiyi stood directly in front of the 20-year-old victim on the train before pulling down his pants and self servicing with vigor.

Fabiyi released his sperm on the woman who then fled to the next car and reported the assault to another passenger who called the police. Fabiyi was identified and caught after police reviewed surveillance videos of the train. In addition to the prison sentence, Fabiyi has been banned from approaching women traveling alone in trains except for transportation employees.

A mother’s love is definitely infinite. There’s nothing she wouldn’t do for her children. Then 53-year old Cindy Reutzel gave her daughter Emily probably the greatest gift a mother can give to her daughter.
Three years ago, Emily Jordan was devastated when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer at a young age of 29, the doctors advised her to have a radical hysterectomy, which crushed her and husband Mike’s hopes of having a baby. What’s even worse is that before surgery, her doctor delivered more devastating news: Emily was pregnant. The couple had to make a painful decision and went ahead with the surgery in order to save Emily’s life.

“I can’t describe what that was like after finding out you have cancer, after finding out your chance of ever carrying a baby is gone,” Emily said.

Emily’s mother, Cindy, was as devastated as the couple. She wanted to do everything to help her infertile daughter become a parent. She made an unusual proposition: She wants to be a surrogate mom and carry the couple’s child.

At first, the couple didn’t take it seriously. Cindy was already in her 50s, so they were skeptical about the chances of her pulling it off. But she was determined to help, so she went through hormonal manipulation and psychological evaluation to prepare her body for pregnancy. The fertilization specialist, Dr. Helen Kim, implanted an embryo produced by Emily’s egg and Mike’s sperm into Cindy’s uterus.

Below are five statements that are more likely to cause more harm to your relationship;

Every couple have arguments and misunderstandings. However, this is one thing that brings them closer; but if handled wrongly, it could put an end to a relationship. It is important to fight fair and communicate your feelings effectively instead of just lashing out.

1. “You Always” or “You Never”: You might feel the urge to say something like, “you never respect me” or “You always choose your friends over me,” during a fight when trying to make your point. But this will only end up making your partner aggressive and you will be unable to get the reaction you were hoping for.

2. “It’s over”: No matter how hurt or angry you are, you never end a relationship in the middle of an argument because chances are, you do not really mean this. Throwing words like “divorce” or “break up” like it is nothing is certainly not the way to go.
Ending a relationship takes careful consideration and discussion. And if you are used to throwing those words around when you do not mean them, you will be left shell-shocked if, one day, you partner takes you at your words and walks out.

3. “Can’t you be more like..”: No one likes to be compared to other people. It does not matter if you are trying to make a point. Saying things like “Why can’t you be more like my friend’s wife/husband..” will not go down well with your partner.

If there is a character trait you need him/her to work on, just express that to them instead of using someone else as an example. Nobody is perfect. You chose your partner for who they are so it is hurtful when it sounds like you are wishing they were someone else.

4. “I do not want to talk about this anymore”: Walking out on a fight or just abruptly shutting your partner down while in the middle of an argument or discussion will only serve to hurt them more. If you must postpone the conversation, do it in such a way that you both come to the agreement to discuss some other time.

5. “I’m sorry, but…”: If you are going to apologize about something, do it wholeheartedly and completely. Do not do cancel it out by attaching condition to it, like saying “I apologize but you really should not speak to me that way”. This will only extend the argument.
After apologizing, gently let your partner know if they have done something to make you feel bad. This way, they also get the chance to completely apologize and everything is right with your relationship again.

Recently in Lagos, after a 43-year-old man was interrogated for sleeping with his daughter, he confessed it was done so as to give his family a better lease of life. He further said that he was asked to sleep with his first daughter so that money could flow in from left, right and centre.

3. Psychological Derailment
This happens when the offender, the man in question, has psychologically derailed. This without mincing words means that he needs help. Psychologists say that for whatever reasons, these men have descended so low as animals, so that all they know is to sleep with their own blood. In cases like these, psychologists further warn that such victims should be pitied and helped so that they can be normal again.

4. For Occult Reasons
There have been an enormous number of cases of men in Nigeria who confessed that the real reason why they engaged in sleeping with their daughters was because of the mandate they were being given at their secret cults. In some cases it might be because of the hunger for spiritual powers; in other cases it could be to avert death and prolong their own lives.

5. Lack of values
Values are fundamental things every man must possess. However, there are some folks whose level of values is at the ground zero level. These sorts of men do not see anything wrong in sleeping with their daughters. These men have no moral compass and so will never find anything bad in the act.

31-year-old Zaheda Peters died on Saturday, September 26 after her ex boyfriend, Warrant Officer Nevell du Toit, 44, shot her twice outside her Strand home in Strand, South Africa on September 14.

After pumping a bullet into her shoulder and head and leaving her for dead in the street, Du Toit ended his own life with his service pistol. The mother of two at first showed signs of recovery, but later her condition deteriorated dramatically and on Saturday afternoon her life support was switched off.

 Du Toit is alleged to have turned violent after discovering that Peters was romantically involved with a young 22-year-old rugby player. Days before the attack, Du Toit, who is also the coach of Macassar Rugby B-team, allegedly threatened to shoot both Peters and her new lover.

Shortly after the shooting, Du Toit’s twin brother Neil du Toit revealed that the cop had left behind suicide letters explaining his actions. Neil would not reveal the exact details contained in the letters, except to say that his brother was under immense stress and that he apologised for dying in such a cowardly manner.

The officer was buried last Saturday from the Sidney Kuhn Hall, next to the Macassar police station where he worked. On Sunday, Peters’s family spoke emotionally about how they thought she would pull through. Speaking to the Daily Voice just moments before her funeral, Peters’s uncle Noor Rhode said he cannot believe he will never see her again.

Rhode said: "She was an amazing person who sparked life and love into everything she touched. We thought she was going to make it, but it was not meant to be." Peters had been making slow progress after doctors removed her one eye after the shooting.

Rhode said doctors at the Vergelegen Mediclinic contacted the family last Thursday to let them know that in spite of the progress she had made after having her eye removed, her condition was deteriorating. "She had opened her one eye and looked around, and the colour had returned to her face. She was getting better, we thought.

They called on Thursday to ask us to prepare as she was slipping away and the following 24 hours would be crucial.

On Saturday, doctors confirmed Zaheda was brain dead and asked the family to come and say their final goodbyes. I could not believe it. It was a very hard thing to do. I travel a lot and she would always be there to get me at the airport. Always a hug and love. I will never have that again. She is gone from us now, as the Almighty wills it," he added tearfully. Rhode said the whole family was devastated, but they have forgiven Peters’s killer. "This was not decided by man... we hold no grudges against him [Du Toit]. She lived as long as she was meant to. We have lots of questions, but they may never be answered. She will be greatly missed.
